Times have changed and attitudes
towards death have changed. The Memorial Society of Prescott urges its
members and all consumers to plan ahead, to think about the choices available.
The most important statement is in one word -
PRE-PLANNING.
The Memorial Society of Prescott, Inc.
1280 E. Rosser St.
Prescott, AZ

Who are we?
We are a non-profit, volunteer
organization incorporated under Arizona law in 1974.
The Memorial Society of Prescott
is one of over 150 Memorial Funeral Alliances in the U.S. and Canada dedicated
to securing simple, dignified funerals at a reasonable cost. The Memorial
Society of Prescott is supervised by a Board of Directors that serves
without pay. The board is elected by the membership at the annual meeting.
It is not affiliated with any business, or with any religious or fraternal
organization and the members must live within Yavapai County in Arizona.
We are dependent on the initial membership donation of $22.50 and other donations
from members to pay rent and buy office supplies.
Information
In the event of death, a
physician, relative, minister, or friend, telephones the funeral home
who has the member's name and instruction on file. The funeral home will
follow through with the arrangements. Payment is made by the family directly
to the funeral home at the time of service.
Annual membership meetings
provide educational programs concerning death and related issues. Information
regarding organ donations, living wills, health care powers of attorney,
and wills will be provided for members. You will enjoy the strength and
satisfaction of joining others who also believe in dignity, simplicity,
and economy in final plans.

TRANSFER OF MEMBERSHIP:
Members who move to the area of another affiliated Memorial Society may
transfer membership for a minimal cost. Also members who are temporarily
in the area of such a Memorial Society (as when traveling or visiting
away from their home area) can easily secure "reciprocal services."
Why Join?
To provide an avenue by which
families can introduce dignity, intelligence, forethought and economy
to funeral arrangements which will emphasize the spiritual values of life
and death. To create, through education and awareness, a climate of public
opinion where moderate expense in funeral is acceptable.
