When I tried to schedule a field trip to our local crematorium, I was greeted with shock at the end of the line. “How did you get our number, they asked? (from Lisa Carlson’s book, but I didn’t tell). “We don’t speak with the public”, the voice said. I simply wanted to find out about their energy use and emissions, since those are criteria held up by many “green” advocates as environmental concerns. Does anyone know how to find out the specifics on energy and emissions at a local crematorium? (Alison Heins, Michigan FCIS)
