Is there any advice you can give to a Shreveport family who lost a loved one unexpectedly and had made no plans in advance? My dad just passed and he has a plot at Hillcrest but nothing more. I told the hospital that the body should go to Hillcrest, but I wasn’t thinking about the difference between the burial and the funeral home. Does that mean that we are now committed to using their Funeral Home as well? They just told me embalming will be $995 which seems an enormous cost. I feel very lost right now!
