When it comes to the idea of death in modern times, many people seem to fall into one of two schools of thought: death is either feared and therefore avoided; or, it is greatly romanticized and observed with much bluster. Rarely does anyone seem to be able to accept the end of life as a part of existence and meet death head on, let alone with great fanfare.
