I believe Mr. Kevorkian felt he was doing the right thing by assisting all those helpless and depressed patients with taking their own lives. If anyone believe something strong enough they can believe the truth or a lie. Just like Hitler believed so strong what he was doing and killed so many innocent people. We must be careful and search our hearts and not be blinded by powerful influence. Even those on their death bed need to be given the right to make informed decisions. They are not competent enough to make such a big decision. This is like putting a gun in a child’s hand and saying pulll the trigger. What I am about to say does not apply to those who don’t believe in God, but if you do believe in Him ask yourself this question, “What is God’s role in a person’s decision to take their own life?” Man nor woman, boy nor girl have that right. Genesis 1:27 says “so God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Our body does not belong to us. Let the one who created us decide when we should die. I Corinthians 6:19-20 says, “Or do you know that your body is the temple of the Holy spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in yur body and in your spirit, which are God’s. Jesus said, “visit the sick in their affliction.” When we comfort and care for the sick God rejoices because Jesus while he was on earth did the same thing. He saved lives. It is not fair to the Doctors to make them play God. They are not God, they were just sent by God to help the sick. if you want to kill yourself leave the hospital and go home, but don’t put that guilt on ANY body. Anyone that assist in a death is a murderer and should be punished by the Law. When a determination has to be made like saving a child or the mother that’s different than when a person like Dr. Kevorkian actively broadcast and permeditate murder by assisting death.
