I am always pleased to give permission to anyone to publish my columns or portions thereof, but Mark DeSteffan (the owner of Funeral Consumer Advocate) has lifted whole paragraphs from my column about SCI’s deceitful advertising without attribution or acknowledgement that he was using my words. Instead, he made his post seem as though he were reporting completely on his own initiative. He lives on-line in such secrecy that I cannot communicate with him and my two attempts to post a comment at the Funeral Consumer Advocate website have been rejected. I consider that anyone who engages in such copyright infringement to be untrustworthy. He has used my work to make himself appear to be something that he is not, which is as deceitful as what SCI did in their advertising, about which I wrote.
