Ninety-two-year-old Dinuba man plans ahead
Leonard Heinrichs believes in planning ahead. At age 92, he recently took possession of a coffin made especially for him.
The Dinuba resident said the idea to commission his own coffin came about during a session with his Romeo friends. These “Retired Old Men Eating Out” lunch together every weekday and their conversations range widely from topic to topic.
After thinking about it a bit, Heinrichs this past February asked his son-in-law, Doug Pannabecker, to make the coffin. Pannabecker lives in San Jose, where he builds cabinets and kitchens.
