A few months ago, Neeley went to local engraver Sunset Monument to have a bench made in honor of his son. He just wanted some wording inviting passersby to sit and rest — nothing controversial.
When he got there, he ended up at the center of a legal conundrum, pitting freedom of expression against changing times.
