Josh & Don, I was surprised to see the comment about some states not allowing pet cremains to be interred with human remains. A close family member is hoping have our dog’s ashes placed in the casket with her body. I’ll be the family representative dealing with funeral/burial arrangements. Do you know (or would you please research) which states forbid this practice? Also, in my case the burial will be in a military cemetary in Florida. Do such “national” cemetaries have to abide by the laws of the states they are in? In my case the cemetary is on a Navy base, where some state statutes are superceded by Navy regulations. (I’m referring to issues that might arise throughout the area of the base, not just the cemetery.)
