I have a question. My father pre-decease

I have a question. My father pre-deceased my mother. She purchased a memorial with both their names on it. A year later, she remarried. She eventually divorced husband number two but kept his last name. She wants to be buried alongside my dad and thinks that the memorial can remain as it is, with her name as it was when she was my dad’s widow. Is this legal, or does the memorial need to reflect the legal name of the deceased (her name now).
