You’ll be interested to know that through the efforts of our Town Clerk, Catherine Flanagan Stover, and our representatives, Nantucket’s Home Rule petition to establish its own not-for-profit funeral service was passed by the Massachusetts legislature. This happened just days ago, in the face of extremely strong opposition from the funeral directors and their trade groups.
