I can’t help wondering the need or desir

I can’t help wondering the need or desire for the body to be preserved once buried/vaulted. Why would anybody want the body not to naturally decompose? I see death, and whatever you believe to come after, as a natural process. Mourn your loss, celebrate the life they lived and let nature do what nature does.
