Failure to move this bill forward is more than disappointing. I can’t imagine anything more disrespectful to the human body than thrusting it in a furnace to be reduced to ashes, yet society has embraced that method of after-death disposal for 30 years. So, “burn-in-hell” is OK and accelerated natural decomposition is not? How embarrassing for Indiana lawmakers! The decision about what is disrespectful should be left to the individual family members and not dictated by a lack of common sense legislation.
