I have read many of the above coments. Some of which are very good. Having said that, I would like to add two things which I hope will help. First off when the human body dies it decomposes. This happens regaurdless of where said body is placed. I think this comes under that whole ashes to ashes dust to dust thing. Second The way I look at it is like this. Our bodies are just a physical being which allows our Soul to walk the earth. When said physical body fails it experiances what we call death. Now here comes the important part . While yes the physical body dies, the soul does not. What that means to me is that while I may place the physical body of a loved one in the ground that is all I have done. There soul has left that body and has gone to what I hope is a better place. Some may or may not agree . However for me it is how I sort it out. Our bodies are just that a body , It is our Souls which make us who we are. Death is just the point at which the Soul leaves the body which has failed it. I hope this helps.
