I’ve been looking into personal mausoleums for my wife, me and maybe my kids. I just keep thinking about Return of the Living Dead 2 where they break into a mausoleum and steal jewelry and things like that. I also know what happens to the body when it decomps. I was in the Air Force Security Forces and we had an airman that lived off base go AWOL. After ten or so days we finally went to his house with local law enforcement and entered his house. He had killed himself in the bathtub and pretty much turned into a stew. There were at least a million bloat flies and the stench was almost unbearable. Several of the officers vomited. When I was in Iraq, there were decomposing bodies laying almost everywhere, so I was accustomed to the smell. Me and another airman were the ones that had to ladle him into a body bag because no one else could stand it. So imagine that nice stew sloshing around in your casket for all eternity.
