Event: Build a Better Website

Join Amanda Stock from People’s Memorial Association on August 10 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Pacific (2 pm to 3 pm Eastern) to learn how to build and maintain a website that works for both your community and for your team of volunteers or staff. There have been major advances in the world of website design tools (Content Management Systems or CMS) in the past few years making this process incredibly easy and affordable.
This class is for FCA affiliate volunteers and/or paid staff who don’t know anything about building websites but are looking to take advantage of the ways technology can make it easier to operate a successful organization. Amanda will share how you can:
- Create and manage a website using a Content Management System like WordPress;
- Gain control over your own website and avoid paying a web designer anytime you need to make an update;
- Automate administrative tasks and
- Ensure your website conveys the right message to your community.
We recommend that more than one person from your team joins us for this class because it’s critical that more than one person knows how to maintain the website.*
