FCA has many volunteer opportunities depending on your interests and skills. We take a big-picture approach to advocacy, monitoring nationwide trends in funeral pricing and practices.
• Cost-comparison surveys — If your area doesn’t have a local FCA, your community definitely needs its first comparison of cremation, funeral, and burial prices.
• Social media — if you’re a natural with Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and the rest, help us get the word out that grieving families don’t have to get buried in debt.
• Graphic arts/layout — bring your artistic talent to our publications, digital or paper.
• Legislative tracking — join other FCA members tracking state and federal bills that affect funeral choices for consumers and how much those choices will cost.
• Blog posts and essays.
We suggest you join the national FCA with a membership donation. The amount is your choice, and every dollar you give is tax-deductible. As a charity, we depend exclusively on the generosity of friends and donors to carry out this work. That’s you!
